Crocheted Amigurumi
Crocheted animals and figures: a reversible chameleon that changes color inside out, a meerkat in a sweater, a parrot, an alligator, a rhino and a frog.
Amigurumi is what I reach for when I want to make something small and finish it. Most of these are worked in the round, stuffed as they go, and dressed afterwards if they need it.
The pale yellow giraffe I made alongside one of my students. I taught her the whole thing at a distance, sending her a video for each body part in turn, and her giraffe is the last photograph here. I was so proud of her.
If you want to learn this, it is part of crochet lessons: working in the round and shaping with increases and decreases is most of what an amigurumi is.
