Miscellaneous

The things that do not group neatly: a technical rock climbing pack, an insulated lunch bag and a backpack, a felted box, doll clothes, appliquéd Christmas stockings and a set of monogrammed pillowcases.

This is the drawer everything else goes in. It opens with a technical rock climbing pack I made for my son, shown from the front and the back.

Then the useful end of sewing: an insulated lunch bag, a backpack, a box that holds its shape because the wool was felted, and clothes for an eighteen-inch doll.

The stockings are felt, cut and blanket-stitched by hand, with the shapes chosen one at a time. The pillowcases were a set for one household, each letter pieced from a different fabric.

A backpack shown from the front and from the back. The front is black with a large cream panel and white zips curving down each side, and a red pocket at the base. The back shows padded black shoulder straps, red webbing loops at the top, a red chest strap and a black waist strap.
